  • NBN is not available in all areas. To check your address, please contact our customer service team on 1300 788 029.
  • If you add NBN VOIP to your plan, all phone call charges are subject to the rates listed above. Depending on your selected plan, you may have included local, national or mobile calls. 13/1300 and International calls are always subject to additional charges as outlined above.
  • A $300 New Development Charge may apply for connecting properties within the boundary of a “new development”. Where this applies, we will notify you in advance and confirm that you still wish to proceed.
  • A Netcomm, nbn-ready Wi-Fi modem is provided when you choose to bundle it with your plan. This modem comes with a 2 year manufacturer warranty in addition to your statutory rights under the Competition and Consumer Act. We will provide assistance in dealing with warranty matters on your behalf with the manufacturer, should they arise.

How long will it take to activate my nbn service?

The time it takes to provision your NBN service depends on your address, which NBN technology is available at your address and how complete the NBN rollout is at your address.

For example; a Fibre to the Premise connections that is Ready-for-service (Service Class 3), we can provide a turnaround as quick as 1-3 business days. For situations where the nbn rollout is less complete, it would take longer.

What nbn speeds can I expect?

Next Business Telecom provides four nbn speed tiers, and you can select a tier to suit your needs.

The actual speeds for the service may be slower and vary due to many factors including type/source of content being downloaded, hardware and software configuration, the number of users on your local network and performance of nbn infrastructure not operated by Next Business Telecom. Devices connected by Wi-Fi may experience slower speeds than those connected by Ethernet cable.

For customers connecting through FTTN and FTTB, your maximum line sync speed can only be determined after your service has been installed and tested. If nbn Co advises us that your connection is not capable of supporting the speed tier you have chosen, we will give you the option of moving to a lower speed tier.

How can I estimate my internet usage requirements?

Next Business Telecom currently offers nbn plans with unlimited data, meaning you can browse and stream for unlimited hours per month without worrying about excess charges or speed shaping.

When selecting which nbn speed tier you might require, you should consider the type of nbn that is available in your area, the number of people in your household and which activities they perform online. What are my billing and payment options?
  • Your nbn service is billed and payable in advance for each month during your agreement. Your first bill will include one full month in addition to a pro-rata charge.
  • A monthly account is delivered via email or post on a monthly basis. For paper billing there is a $2.95 monthly charge. Payment is offered via post-pay through Visa, Mastercard, BPAY or direct debit. Where direct-debit is not chosen, a $3.95 monthly fee will apply.
